Work in the youth homelessness sector? Let’s talk data.

Do you have something to say about the information we collect from youth experiencing homelessness in Ontario? What kinds of data is produced? How is it used? By whom?

The Research for Social Change Lab at Trent University is studying the information systems that youth accessing homelessness services in Ontario interact with.

We want to learn how useful these systems are for supporting youth and testing new ways to collect and use information that could be more helpful for youth.

We’re looking for frontline workers or service managers with experience working with these kinds of information systems to take part in research interviews.

Interviews will take about an hour and can happen in person or over zoom. We’ll ask you questions about your experience with data collection and information processes related to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

This research is part of a bigger project that we’re calling Data Justice for Youth which is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and Making the Shift.

Interested in taking part? Get in touch with Naomi Nichols for more information or to schedule an interview.
